We are seeking a skilled and motivated Qualified Automotive Electrician to join Pittsworth Fleet Maintenance Pty Ltd. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality electrical and electronic work on a range of vehicles and machinery. The successful candidate takes pride in quality workmanship and is open to continuous learning and professional skills development.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults in vehicles using specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Dismantle, repair, or replace faulty wiring, sensors, alternators, starters, batteries, and other electrical assemblies.
- Install and maintain vehicle electrical systems, electronic components, and power-operated accessories.
- Adjust engine control systems and timing as required.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical components.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure all systems function correctly.
- Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation.
- Follow workplace safety standards and procedures at all times.
Key Requirements:- Relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to use diagnostic scanners and testing tools
- Knowledge of CAN bus systems and vehicle electronics (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
A salary of $76,515 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
