Steelweld Fabrication is a local, highly experienced company, that pride ourselves on delivering excellent fabrication solutions including staircases, mezzanine floors, steel framing, gates, handrails, site welding and install.
We are currently looking for qualified and experienced Metal Fabricators/Welders, Civil Engineering Draftspersons, and Estimators to join our team based in Landsdale
Metal Fabricators/Welders
To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to be trade qualified (trade certificate or higher) and have a minimum of 2 years' practical work experience.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:- Fabrication of Structural steel
- Reading drawings
- Mig welding
- Use of bandsaw
- Operating gantry crane
- Quality control / checking work
Civil Engineering Draftsperson
The Civil Engineering Draftspersons will support project design and planning through detailed drafting, cost estimation, and budgeting. They will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the efficient execution of steel fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams using CAD software.
- Review project specifications and incorporate engineering changes.
- Assist in estimating material quantities and project costs.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Maintain and organize project documentation.
- Analyse blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project goals and ensure feasibility.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, material lists, and pricing data for future reference.
Qualifications:- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in steel detailing / design and cost estimation within the construction or fabrication industry.
- A relevant qualification.
- Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with 3D modelling tools.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, material properties, and construction practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Estimators
We are also seeking experienced Estimators to join our team as well.
Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience as an Estimator and a relevant qualification.
Remuneration packages between $80,000 - $95,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
