Since its inception in 2004, the Mortlock Timber Group has developed a solid reputation for providing exceptional timber products throughout Australia.
We are currently looking for an experienced Wood Machinist (Machinist & Tooling Management) to join our Cunderdin Machine Shop.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have 2+ years' experience in Timber Machining and will also need to demonstrate:
Understanding of lean manufacturing processes
Competency in personal time management
Ability to manage tasks
Understanding of the importance of reporting
Commitment to the role
You will be responsible for all the Maintenance, Logistics & Tooling Programs. This will include, but will not be limited to:
Maintaining & Sharpening all Tooling
Setting up all 4 sider moulders
Troubleshoot machine faults
Manage waste due to machine faults
Periodic quality checks of machining
Ensure machines are maintained and serviced at regular intervals
Enforce safe working practices and demonstrate adherence to OHS principles in daily activities
Daily reporting on tooling to Workshop supervisor
Assist in production as required (grading, feeding & stacking timber)
A remuneration package between $76,515 and $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
