At Wren Group we specialise in creating exciting turnkey pre-assembled furniture solutions to the caravan industry. We are a 'Supplier of Choice' to our partner manufacturers. We require an Engineering Manager to join our team based at our Factory in Kyneton, VIC and our Head Office in Campbellfield, VIC.
The Engineering Manager will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the engineering and technical operations of organisations.
Key responsibilities include:- Determine, implement and monitor engineering strategies, policies and plans;
- Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques & overcome quality issues;
- Ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards;
- Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed;
- Establish project schedules to manage workflow and budgets;
- Interpret plans, drawings and specifications, and provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and production requirements;
- Liaise with marketing, research and manufacturing managers regarding engineering aspects of new metal fabrication and product design;
- Oversee maintenance, engineering and technical requirements to optimise efficiency;
- Oversee the preparation of detailed job sheets, production drawings & BOMs for the manufacture of Caravan internal furniture;
- Prepare engineering & cost calculations for new products developed & production jigs & fixtures.
To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification and one year of relevant post qualification employment experience OR at least five years of relevant employment experience as Engineering Manager.
