Heartland Motors is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead and grow one of our key service departments located in Chullora.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of a busy and expanding service operation within a well-established automotive dealer group. Our Chullora service department supports four vehicle brands, including two of the top 10 brands in the Australian market, providing strong service volume today and significant growth potential into the future.
As our vehicle parc continues to grow, so too does the demand for high-quality aftersales support. We are looking for a Service Manager who can lead the team, drive operational excellence, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes while growing the department's performance.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, performance, and continued growth of the service department. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations while developing the team and implementing strategies to maximise productivity, customer retention, and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:- Leading and developing a team of service advisors, technicians and support staff
- Managing daily service operations to ensure efficiency, productivity and high customer satisfaction
- Driving labour sales growth and workshop productivity
- Ensuring strong service processes including repair order discipline and workflow management
- Monitoring key performance indicators including labour hours, retention, and department profitability
- Working closely with parts and sales teams to maximise aftersales opportunities
- Maintaining manufacturer standards and compliance across all supported brands
- Creating a positive team culture focused on accountability, performance and customer experience
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will be a service leader who understands how to run a high-performing dealership service department.
You will bring:- Proven experience managing a dealership service department or senior service leadership role
- Strong leadership and team development capability
- Solid understanding of service department KPIs including labour sales, productivity and retention
- Excellent organisational and operational management skills
- A strong customer-first mindset
- Ability to drive performance while maintaining a positive team culture
