Emu Advisory Pty Ltd T/A Zero Gravity Advisory are currently seeking an experienced Financial Investment Adviser to join their team in Nailsworth, South Australia in a full time role.
About the Role
As an experienced Financial Investment Adviser at Zero Gravity Advisory, you will be responsible for providing professional financial planning and investment advisory services to clients by assessing financial circumstances, identifying investment objectives, and developing tailored wealth creation and risk management strategies. The role involves preparing detailed and compliant financial advice documentation, implementing investment strategies, and providing ongoing portfolio monitoring and client relationship management in accordance with Australian financial services regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyse client financial information including income, assets, liabilities, taxation position, cash flow, and existing investment portfolios.
- Meet with clients to assess financial circumstances, investment objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term financial goals.
- Develop personalised financial strategies relating to investment planning, superannuation, retirement planning, insurance, and wealth accumulation.
- Research, analyse, and evaluate financial products including managed funds, equities, exchange traded funds (ETFs), superannuation, and insurance products to support recommendations.
- Prepare Statements of Advice (SOA), Records of Advice (ROA), financial modelling reports, and supporting documentation outlining recommended financial strategies.
- Present and explain financial strategies, associated risks, expected returns, and implementation processes to clients.
- Coordinate and implement approved financial strategies, liaising with product providers, platform administrators, accountants, and other professionals where required.
- Monitor investment portfolios, conduct periodic client reviews, maintain accurate client records, and ensure compliance with Australian financial services legislation and best interest duty obligations.
Selection Criteria - Qualification, Certification and Relevant Experience:- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Finance or Financial Planning, General Business or Commerce, Economics or a related field.
- Demonstrated at least 3 years' experience in financial planning or investment advisory services.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- Knowledge of Australian financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional advisory environment.
Desirable:- Experience using financial planning software such as AdviserLogic or similar platforms.
- Understanding of superannuation, retirement planning, and investment portfolio management.
- Progress toward or eligibility for relevant professional industry accreditation or licensing requirements.
- Proficiency in a community language to engage with our culturally diverse clientele
