Bruce Ayling Family Trust is looking for skilled Deckhands to join our team in full-time roles (37.5 hours per week), based in Geraldton.
We need a fit and energetic team player who enjoys working outdoors. You'll work closely with the vessel master and a small crew, handling:- Craypots
- Cray rope
- Mechanical winches
To be considered, you must have:- At least 2 years of experience working as a deckhand on a fishing vessel
- A valid Australian Fisheries Commercial Fishing License
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a marine environment
Key Responsibilities:- Handling ropes, craypots, and fishing equipment
- Stacking and setting craypots as directed
- Operating mooring equipment when berthing/unberthing the vessel
- Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on deck equipment
- Preparing lines, attaching running gear and bait, and setting lines into position
- Hauling in fishing gear and removing fish and other marine life
Work Environment & Dress Code:- Protective clothing required, including enclosed footwear and sun-safe gear (hat, clothing, etc.)
