JAE is a mechanical engineering business that specialises in the manufacturing and refurbishment of coal mining machines and equipment, in accordance with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications and government legislations.
JAE is searching for Fitter and Turners to join their team in Parkhurst, QLD.
The position involves the assembly and fitting of various mechanical & hydraulic components to build underground mining equipment.
These tasks include:- Using a range of tools, equipment and engineering techniques to build and repair mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a high level of standard and quality in line with the company ISO standards and procedures.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace health & safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of product drawings to determine suitable bills of material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings.
- Knowledge and capability to assemble bearings and units.
- Know how to strip and inspect equipment.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment.
- Rebuild and repair mechanical parts.
- Accurate use of precision measuring instruments.
- Correctly set controls on machining tools.
To be considered you will need a relevant trade certificate with two years minimum relevant employment experience or at least three years of relevant employment experience to substitute for the formal qualification.
This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $85,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
