Norrish Service Group are currently looking for experienced Welders and Metal Fabricators to join our team in Bakers Hill and Northam.
In this role you will be required to fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products.
Duties include:- Remove high sports and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches
- Locate and mark work piece, bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications
- Heat-treat parts, using acetylene torches
- Set up and operate fabricating machines
- Design and construct templates and fixtures
- Verify conformance of work piece to specifications
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products
- Set up and operate tools
- Align and fit parts according to specifications
- Layout and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed
- Erect ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assemblies
- Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned
- Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate experience in welding and fabrication and/or trade qualifications with a strong focus toward workmanship and high quality.
You will need to be capable of following instructions, maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition and be able to work unsupervised.
We are also seeking experienced Vehicle Painters to join our team.
Duties include:- Smoothing rough spots on vehicle panels by sanding manually or with power sanders.
- Applying primer and finishing coats with spray guns, sanding between layers for a smooth finish.
- Masking areas with tape and paper to protect sections not being painted.
- Touching up paintwork, polishing, and waxing vehicles for a refined look.
- Mixing and matching colours to achieve the correct shade, including selecting pre-mixed paints.
- Applying rust-proofing treatments to protect against corrosion
- Removing masking materials after painting and ensuring a polished final appearance.
- Creating custom artwork and signage on vehicles.
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate experience in vehicle painting and/or trade qualifications with a strong focus toward workmanship and high quality.
Salary - $76,515 - $80,000 per annum.
