Ascent Structural & Architectural Steel are currently seeking experienced Fabricators and Welders to join their team in a full time role in High Wycombe.
Applicants must have experience in Structural Steel Fabrication & Welding and have worked in a structural steel fabrication workshop environment with at least 2 years prior experience. A Certificate III in Engineer - Fabrication would also be ideal but is not essential.
Tasks would include the assembly and fabrication of structural steel for commercial developments, ranging in size and complexity with stringent quality details and short time frames.
Experience and Skills:
Proven fabrication/MIG welding experience working with structural steel
'C' Class Drivers License is preferred
A Certificate to operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane is preferred
Be able to read and interpret workshop drawings and weld procedures.
Be able to work as a team and or individually as required
Self-starter, reliable, friendly and have a positive attitude
Duties include:
Fabrication and assembly of structural steel in compliance with the workshop drawings and fabrication specifications
Undertaking fabrication and welding tasks in compliance with the issued ITP's, WPS, WATR & MDR quality documents
Ensuring fabrication and welding takes are undertaken in accordance with the QMS & ISO9001 requirements
Undertaking tasks in compliance with the company polices, practices and safety regulations
Applicants will need to be available for shift work and overtime if required
An hourly rate between $38/hr - $45/hr + Penalties will be offered to the successful candidate.
