Quickcut Profiles Pty Ltd require a permanent, full time Metal Machinist (First Class) to join their team in Lake Cargelligo, NSW.
You will be responsible for the turning, milling, surfacing, boring, drilling and tapping of steel plates, bar and billets.
Main Duties:- Operate and maintain Milling and Lathe machines according to company procedures.
- Monitor production, adjusting feeds and other settings.
- Ensure all work is carried out to company policies and procedures.
- Build, develop and produce products as required to meet customer requirements.
- Reading of technical CAD drawings.
- Turning and milling of mild steel plates and bushes as required.
- Drilling and tapping of steel plates to blue prints.
- Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stocks and parts.
- Marking and measuring steel stocks as required.
- Diagnose and repair damage as required.
- Identify and resolve fitting and turning difficulties.
- Meet deadlines and quality requirements to satisfy customer demand.
- Perform all duties whilst adhering to OH&S requirements.
- Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
- Adhere to workplace safety requirements and use PPE correctly at all times.
Other Tasks:- Adjust to changing requirements of the workshop.
- Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Assist with stock checks when required.
- Keep area of work clean and tidy.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials in and out of the work area, and assisting colleagues in this task where necessary.
Knowledge and Experience:- AQF Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent or relevant experience
- Experienced with the operation of Milling and Lathe machines.
- High level attention to detail and quality control.
- Minimum 5 years' experience required.
- Experience working efficiently to ensure company quality standards are met and exceeded.
This is a full time role working 38+ hours per week with guaranteed overtime.
A remuneration package of $75,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate, aligned with experience. An immediate start is available.
