    • Axis22 is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder (Boilermaker) to join our workshop team in Kewdale. This is a full-time, ongoing role supporting current and future project demand across structural steel fabrication and related works.

    About the Role

    You'll be joining a hands-on, fast-paced workshop environment where quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork are essential. This role plays a key part in delivering fabricated components that meet strict project specifications and Australian Standards.

    In this role, you will be responsible for a range of fabrication, welding, and finishing tasks on structural steel, plate, and pipework. You will work from technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality finished products ready for installation or dispatch.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Interpret workshop drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
    • Fabricate and assemble structural steel components and pipework
    • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to required standards
    • Inspect weld quality to ensure compliance with specifications
    • Carry out grinding, finishing, and surface preparation of welded components
    • Complete repairs, modifications, and maintenance on existing steelwork
    • Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
    • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
    • Record job progress and communicate effectively with supervisors
    About You

    We are looking for a dependable tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you understand the importance of safety, accuracy, and meeting deadlines in a workshop environment.

    You will also need to demonstrate:
    • Relevant Welding / Boilermaking Certificate / Qualification
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
    • Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
    • Strong background in structural steel and/or pipe fabrication
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
    • Strong understanding of weld quality and finishing standards
    • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
    A remuneration package between $78,500 - $80,500 will be offered to the successful candidate.
