We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our Operations team. This role is based in Forrestdale, with travel to site as required.
This position is responsible for providing technical support and coordination across projects, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements, specifications, and company standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager and Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects from planning through to completion. This includes technical documentation, stakeholder communication, cost tracking, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities include:- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company HSEQ policies and procedures
- Develop project documentation including SWMS, ITPs, and JSAs
- Liaise with clients before, during, and after project delivery
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation and compile Manufacturers Data Reports (MDRs)
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications and communicate requirements to site teams
- Ensure all personnel are aware of and comply with project safety requirements
- Monitor project quality and maintain regular communication with Supervisors
- Prepare and update project schedules
- Monitor project costs and assist with preparation of monthly claims
- Source and obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and raise purchase orders
About You
You will need to be a proactive and detail-oriented engineering professional who can effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment. You'll take a practical approach to problem-solving, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and are committed to delivering safe and high-quality outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Essential:- Recognised qualification in Civil Engineering
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and/or relevant engineering software
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage project costs and budgets
Desirable:- Flexibility to work varied hours and attend site as required
- Ability to work within tight or changing schedules
- Working knowledge of rail safety
- Previous experience working with Main Roads Western Australia
A competitive remuneration package between $150,000-$170,000, plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
