Sunshine Car Rentals and Mechanical Repairs Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Motor Mechanic / Technician to join their team in Acacia Ridge, QLD full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles
- Perform routine servicing including oil changes, brake checks, and inspections
- Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure roadworthiness
- Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment efficiently
- Test drive vehicles after servicing and repairs
- Maintain accurate job records and service reports
- Ensure all work meets industry and safety standards
- Communicate technical issues clearly to customers or service advisors
- Maintain high productivity and workshop efficiency
Applicants must have 1-2 years of hands-on experience working as a Motor Mechanic after completing relevant qualifications. They must also hold a current QLD Open Driver Licence.
Our ideal applicant will also:- Have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
- Be technically minded with a solid understanding of automotive systems and tools
- Be physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks and workshop demands
- Have willingness to travel for work when required, including occasional off-site or emergency jobs
- Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and within a team
