    Our Camtec Appliances division covers the repair, installation, and servicing of all your home appliances, in and out of warranty, including kitchen appliances, laundry appliances, commercial appliances, home entertainment appliances, and gas cooking appliances. Camtec is a warranty service agent for a number of large global companies.

    About the role

    Camtec is seeking a qualified and experienced Electronics Equipment Trades Worker to join our growing team. The Electronics Equipment Trades Worker will be primarily responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing a range of domestic and commercial Audio-visual products and systems in a workshop and/or on-site environment, including:
    • Televisions
    • Projectors.
    • Electronic whiteboards.
    • Monitors.
    • Speaker systems.
    • Cabling systems.
    The Electronics Equipment Trades Worker will perform duties that include:
    • Examine and test electronic systems, equipment, and components (including televisions, projectors, monitors, and speaker systems) to diagnose and isolate faults.
    • Adjust, repair, and replace worn, defective, or faulty parts, components, and wiring, and perform general maintenance on electronic systems.
    • Reassemble, test operate, and calibrate electronic equipment and systems to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
    • Install, configure, and commission electronic equipment and cabling systems in domestic and commercial settings, adhering to specifications and technical documentation.
    • Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining and all aspects of the equipment.
    • Utilise specialised electronic testing equipment and hand tools to perform complex repairs and replacements of componentry (e.g., motherboards, projector modules).
    • Advise end-users and customers on correct operating and maintenance procedures to prevent malfunctions, reduce downtime, and manage service calls.
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed service reports on system status, maintenance, repairs, and adjustments performed.
    • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electronic instruments and related equipment.
    About you

    This role requires a qualified tradesperson with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment, preferably with a formal qualification in AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Electronics and Communications.

    Ideally you will bring a broad range of expertise and competence, with the following attributes:
    • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electronic faults.
    • Experienced in adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining equipment and systems.
    • Experienced in reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
    • Experienced in advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and report on work progress
    • Strong Electronic and Mechanical aptitude
    • Must be computer literate with Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Should be well organised and able to work to, and meet deadlines
    • Should be able to work on own initiative, individually and as part of a team
    • Must be skilled in using different types of electronic test equipment
    A salary between $75,000 - $80,000 per year + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
