We are currently seeking a skilled and driven Sales Agronomist to join our Emerald team full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Build and grow strong relationships with producers across the Emerald region
- Provide agronomic recommendations on crop inputs - tailored to each client's farming system
- Conduct in-crop inspections, pest and disease monitoring, and interpret soil and plant tests and recommend programs based on agronomic results and knowledge
- Plan, implement and report on replicated field trials to support product development and local best practice
- Identify and develop sales opportunities across the Emerald region
- Building on strong sales relationships with current and future business partners and clients, to achieve individual and divisional KPIs
- Ensure all advice complies with APVMA label directions, resistance-management strategies and stewardship programs
- Represent Muirs at grower field days, crop walks, industry events and supplier training
- Maintain accurate client records in our CRM and contribute to branch reporting and forecasting
Candidates must have:- Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticultural Science or a closely related discipline (Bachelor degree minimum)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial agronomy, sales agronomy or closely related role
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of production systems in the Emerald region
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to communicate technical information clearly to growers
- Well-developed organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a branch team
- Competent use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and CRM systems
- Current Australian driver's licence
