We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Engineering Technicians & Small Engine Mechanics to join our team in Armadale in full time positions.
Your primary responsibility is to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various types of pumps used in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. You will work with a variety of pump systems, including centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, submersible pumps, and others. Your role involves ensuring the efficient operation of these pumps to support the smooth functioning of various processes and systems they are integrated into.
Applicants must hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Duties include:- Installation: Properly install new pump systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. This includes setting up pumps, connecting pipelines, valves, and other necessary components.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing performance and longevity of pump systems. This involves inspecting pumps, lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and cleaning and replacing filters.
- Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot pump malfunctions to identify the root cause of issues. Repair or replace defective parts such as seals, bearings, impellers, and motors to restore pump functionality.
- Testing: Conduct performance tests on pumps to verify their efficiency and functionality. Adjust settings or make repairs as necessary to optimize pump performance and ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with pump systems. Ensure that all installations and repairs are performed in a manner that minimizes risks to personnel and property.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed on pump systems. Keep track of inventory and equipment usage to facilitate efficient workflow and resource management.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their pump-related requirements and provide appropriate solutions. Offer guidance on pump selection, usage, and maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Training: Stay updated on the latest advancements in pump technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development. Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance team capabilities.
Applicants must also have:- Knowledge of pump installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with various types of pumps and their components, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and submersible pumps.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
A salary between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
