Sailing Ingredients Pty Ltd trading as I Maccheroni is an Award Winning restaurant, run by Michelin-star trained Chef in Sydney, serving classic Italian food with Australian influences to use local fresh products.
We are seeking a polished and experienced Trade Waiter to elevate our dining experience. In this role, you'll bring refined service skills, attentiveness, and professionalism to contribute to a high-end, memorable guest experience. Your responsibilities will span from front-of-house coordination to wine service and guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Set and organise tables, ensuring proper linen, cutlery, glassware, and presentation standards.
- Greet and welcome guests courteously; take reservations and escort patrons to their tables.
- Present menus and beverage lists; suggest dish and wine pairings.
- Take and relay orders to kitchen/bar staff accurately; serve food and drinks in line with professional standards.
- Open and pour beverages (wine, liquor); assist with cellar or bar services as needed.
- Clear and reset tables, collect used crockery, remove bottles/glasses gracefully and respectfully.
- Handle bill presentations, process payments via POS or cash systems.
- Supervise or mentor junior staff as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:- Completion of AQF Certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in fine-dining or high-end hospitality.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Excellent communication, proficient English level, interpersonal skills, and polished presentation.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards and strong customer-service orientation.
- Wine knowledge, Sommelier certification, ability to recommend beverage pairings and manage multiple tasks calmly under pressure.
This is a full time position, and a salary of $80,000 plus super and bonuses will be offered to the successful candidate.
