We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our Maintenance team within a busy hotel environment.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your duties will include, but are not limited to:- Perform general carpentry repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel
- Install, repair, and maintain doors, furniture, cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings
- Assist with refurbishment projects and minor renovations
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure facilities remain in excellent condition
- Interpret plans and technical drawings where required
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering and Housekeeping teams
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety standards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimise guest disruption
The successful candidate will possess:- Trade-qualified Carpenter (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Australian safety standards and building practices
- Australian National Police Clearance, no more than three months old
