Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality food services, maintaining efficient kitchen operations, and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability, customer preferences, and business requirements
- Estimate food and labour costs and contribute to maintaining kitchen budgets and profitability
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Demonstrate techniques and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures and food preparation methods
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise wastage
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and regulatory requirements
Selection Criteria:- Relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and a relevant Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation
