    Position Overview

    We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality food services, maintaining efficient kitchen operations, and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability, customer preferences, and business requirements
    • Estimate food and labour costs and contribute to maintaining kitchen budgets and profitability
    • Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
    • Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
    • Demonstrate techniques and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures and food preparation methods
    • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods
    • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise wastage
    • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
    • Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and regulatory requirements
    Selection Criteria:
    • Relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and a relevant Diploma
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
    • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
    Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + Superannuation
