NQ Power Up Electrical delivers reliable, safe, & efficient energy solutions for homes and businesses in North Queensland.
We require an Electrical Engineering Technician to prepare, repair and test electrical systems and assist and support our Electrical Staff. Core responsibilities include testing and maintenance, assembly, design support, data analysis, compliance and cost estimation.
Duties include:- Assembling, installing, testing and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with applicable regulations and safety requirements whilst assisting Electrical Staff in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on electrical systems and infrastructure;
- Collecting data, performing tests and complex calculations, graphing results, and preparing charts and tabulations to more accurately estimate materials costs and quantities;
- Inspecting completed work for compliance with specifications and regulations while preparing drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry;
- Servicing electrical workshop functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices, etc.
To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and 1 year of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.
This is a full time role, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $77,000 - $90,000 base salary excluding superannuation is on offer to the successful candidate.
