    Position Overview:

    We are excited to announce the position of Research and Development Manager who will work at Hi Five Community Services Pty Ltd. This role leads Hi Five's R&D strategies and projects to improve disability support services. The manager oversees research initiatives, coordinates staff, and drives service innovation and policy development. They assess the effectiveness of R&D activities, interpret findings, and recommend improved service models. The role also advises senior leadership, monitors sector developments, and publishes key research to support transparency and continuous improvement.

    Tasks & responsibilities:
    • Determine, implement and monitor research and development strategies, policies and plans that support Hi Five's mission of empowering individuals with disabilities through flexible, person-centred support.
    • Develop and implement research projects, set priorities and targets to support Hi Five's service innovation, policy development and improved quality of life for participants.
    • Lead major research initiatives and coordinate activities of other researchers and team members - promoting collaboration, respect and commitment.
    • Assess the benefits, costs and effectiveness of R&D activities to ensure Hi Five's resources advance meaningful service improvements and support long-term organisational sustainability.
    • Interpret results of research projects and recommend product or service development innovations that support the disability sector, ensuring new or improved supports meet the needs and values of participants.
    • Provide advice to senior leadership on R&D options available to the organization, guiding strategic decisions with integrity, empathy and evidence-based insight.
    • Monitor leading-edge developments in relevant disciplines (disability services, support methods, inclusive care) and assess implications for Hi Five's service offerings, safety standards and community support approach.
    • Publish findings from significant research and development projects - contributing to the broader field, ensuring transparency, and supporting continuous improvement in care and support services.
    Essential Skills:
    • Ability to critically analyse and synthesize new and complex information from diverse sources including participants history and clinical diagnosis.
    • Experience in working with persons living with disabilities especially complex cases is mandatory.
    • Analyzing and evaluating the research data and improving the service delivery across Australia.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification. At least five (5) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed.

    Benefits & Remuneration:
    • Salary commensurate with experience. $95,000 to $105,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
