BPS Electrical Solutions is a leading provider of electrical services and switchboard manufacturing solutions based in Dandenong South. With over 20 years of industry experience, we are known for delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable electrical systems across Australia.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Tester to join our growing production team.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting finished electrical switchboards and assemblies to ensure full compliance with AS/NZS 61439.2, internal quality standards, and safety requirements.
You will play a critical role in ensuring every product leaving our facility is safe, compliant, and built to specification.
Key Responsibilities:- Test and inspect completed electrical switchboards and assemblies
- Verify wiring, components, and build accuracy against electrical schematics
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Conduct insulation resistance and dielectric testing where required
- Apply power and confirm correct operation of electrical components
- Ensure all bolts, wiring, and components meet specification standards
- Complete detailed test reports and photographic documentation
- Maintain accurate records in company systems
- Keep the test bay clean, safe, and organised
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality or compliance issues
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures
About You
We are looking for a detail-focused and safety-conscious Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You'll need to be confident working independently but also enjoy being part of a collaborative production team.
You will need the following:- Qualified Electrician (Australian electrical qualification essential)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical testing or switchboard environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and testing procedures
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
