  • ABI Interiors are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team based in Carrara.

    To be considered for this position, you will need to be a detail oriented, ethically minded accountant with the required qualification, 3+ years' experience in financial operations and reporting, strong Excel and accounting-systems skills, and the communication and teamwork skills to support stakeholders and drive process improvements.

    Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to
    Financial Operations:
    • Manage accounts receivable functions, including reconciling customer payments.
    • Oversee accounts payable activities, including supplier and invoice data entry and payment.
    • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow records.
    • Maintain internal control systems and ensure integrity of financial data.
    • Introduce and maintain accounting systems, providing advice on system selection and application.
    Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare general management reports for presentation to management and external stakeholders and to assist with decision-making.
    • Examine operating costs, income, and expenditure to identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide reports and insights into pricing and cost performance as required.
    • Undertake data analysis and support pricing and costing projects as required.
    • Assist in formulating and reviewing budgetary and accounting policies.
    • Participate in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
    • Conduct asset valuations as required.
    Compliance and External Liaison:
    • Liaise with external accountants regarding preparation of financial statements for governing bodies.
    • Liaise with external accountants in relation to taxation matters, including the preparation and lodgement of GST and Income Tax returns.
    • Work with financial institutions and brokers on matters relating to funds management and investment activities.
    Ad-hoc Support and Financial Projects:
    • Support and assist the Finance team with ad-hoc projects as requested.
    • Appraise cash flow and financial risk associated with capital investment projects.
    • Respond to internal and external financial queries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Finance Manager or CFO.
    This is a full time position working 38 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

    Applicants must demonstrate:
    • A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
    • At least 3 years of relevant full-time (or equivalent) work experience.
    • Strong Excel and accounting-systems skills.
    • Ability to communicate finance matters to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
    • Solutions focused and effective at making sound decisions.
    • Delivers precise, error‑free financial record through strong attention to detail.
    • Collaborates effectively in team projects and works to support peers.

    A remuneration package between $80,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
