K&E COLLABORATIONS PTY LTD T/a Burger Me Fresh Cafe, located at 1 Eastern Ave, Bilinga QLD 4225, is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join their team.
Applicants must have a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery relevant to AQF, as well as at least 2 years' experience in similar role.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook the food with special dietary requirements
- Planning menu and develop menus, including weekly specials, in consultation with the Director/Restaurant Manager.
- Prepare food according to the menu and make sure every item is available.
- Manage food costs and portion control to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service periods.
- Train, supervise trainees and other kitchen staff.
- To efficiently manage stock, conduct stock takes and put FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation.
- Follow Correct portion size.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food storage to minimize waste.
- Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Liaise with Restaurant Manager regarding catering, functions and special requirements.
- Garnishing and presentation of food.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and WHS regulations.
A salary of $77,500 - $81,500 will be offered to the successful candidate.
