Cadia Systems designs and manufactures innovative, high-quality processing equipment for the mining industry. This includes gold processing equipment such as electrowinning cells, regeneration kilns, barring furnaces, extraction systems, as well as full turn key elution skids and ancillary goldroom products.
We are a small close-knit team committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions to mining operations throughout Australia and internationally.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Draftsperson / Technical Engineer who enjoys diversity in their role to join our team.
About the role
This role would suit someone who is looking to broaden their engineering experience through design, drafting documentation, product development, workshop integration, and planning manufacture, installation and commissioning.
Key responsibilities:- Management of product manufacture
- Developing and drafting new and existing products
- Delivery of profile cutting drawings and shop fabrication details
- Organising and maintaining engineering records
- Procurement
- Scheduling manufacturing execution and inspection
- Researching new materials and methods of product development
- Client communication and development of quotes and estimates
- Working closely with the workshop tradesmen and provision of technical input and design information for fabrication
It may, depending on your skillset and aptitude, extend through to commissioning.

- Experience in contributing to technical engineering discussions
- Ability to execute tasks in a timely, efficient manner

Qualifications & experience:- Diploma or bachelor level engineering qualification (mechanical)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong SolidWorks experience (required)
- Design drafting experience (required)
- Experience with AutoCAD software & design at a high-level including 3D development and detail drafting
Highly regarded:- Mining industry experience
- Experience with MDRs, ITPs, QA documentation
- Site commissioning experience beneficial
- Knowledge of Australian engineering standards

Based primarily in our office and workshop located in Forrestdale, WA, with the possibility of occasional site work.
