As we continue to expand our footprint in the Western Australian market, we are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Accountant to join our high-performing team. This is an opportunity to move beyond the numbers and play a pivotal role in the success of a diverse client portfolio.
Key responsibilities for this role include:- Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Prepare financial reporting for corporate clients.
- Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and GST compliance obligations.
- Interpret and apply Australian taxation legislation to client scenarios.
- Provide advice on auditing, insolvency and accounting matters to clients.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regarding client matters.
- Review and ensure guidance and training to junior staffs if required.
- Maintain quality control and compliances with Australian taxation and professional standards.
- Support onboarding of new clients and ensure timely lodgements of taxation obligations.
The minimum work experience for this position are:- At least one year of relevant industry work experience
The skills requirements for this position are:- Solid understanding of Australian tax law and statutory reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Problem-Solving and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, strong analytical mind, and a collaborative team player.
Remuneration:- $80,000 - $81,000 per annum plus superannuation
