Yum Cha Noodle Haus is a vibrant, well-established Chinese restaurant located in the heart of Surfers Paradise. We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our team full-time. The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Head Chef, kitchen staff, and service team. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and potentially public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Manage food and beverage inventory, conduct regular stock takes, and implement cost-control measures.
- Oversee overall dining experience and service quality.
- Address customer complaints professionally.
- Plan and coordinate daily operations including opening/closing procedures and service flow.
- Maintain quality control of all dishes and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
- Address operational issues and implement improvements to service quality and efficiency.
We are looking for an experienced, organised, and detail-oriented Restaurant Manager with a passion for authentic Chinese cuisine and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate possesses natural leadership abilities, strong decision-making skills, and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multi tasking environment. They should be proactive, problem-solving oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational and service standards.
Skills & Experience Required:- Minimum 3-5 years' full-time experience in restaurant management, preferably in Asian cuisine establishments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficiency in restaurant management systems and POS (Point of Sale) software.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Excellent inventory and supply chain management capabilities.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle complaints diplomatically.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.
- Organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
- Budget management and cost control experience.
