    We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Builder to join our workshop team on a full-time basis. The role involves assessing, repairing, and refurbishing vehicle fleet bodies and components to restore vehicles to specification. This includes structural repairs, panel work, interior trim installation, and cosmetic finishing across light fleet, commercial vehicles, and ancillary equipment.

    Your role will include, but is not limited to:
    • Construct, repair, and assemble vehicle body frameworks, chassis sections, and structural components using metal, fibreglass, aluminium, and composite materials
    • Cut, shape, weld, and fit vehicle panels and replacement sections using MIG, spot, and silicon bronze welding equipment in accordance with repair specifications
    • Repair and refurbish bus and commercial vehicle bodies including panel work, rust repairs, interior trim installation, and surface preparation for painting
    • Modify and customise fleet and specialty vehicles to meet operational requirements while ensuring precise alignment and quality workmanship
    • Perform all vehicle body building and fabrication work in compliance with industry standards, workplace safety requirements, and company quality procedures
    Applicants must have an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV including at least 1 year of experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full-time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification

    Applicants will also have:
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience in vehicle panel repair, body work, and fabrication
    • Proven experience in coach body building, fabrication work, or panel shop environment (minimum 2 years preferred)
    • Experience with commercial vehicles and heavy equipment (preferred)
    • Knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations (preferred)
    • Supervisory or apprenticeship training experience (preferred)
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and implement time management principles to prioritise work and meet deadlines
    • Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to workshop relationships in a friendly and flexible manner
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Service-minded approach to work quality
    A salary of $76,515 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
