We are currently seeking a skilled and driven Sales Agronomist to join our Mundubbera, Queensland team full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Identify and develop sales opportunities across the Mundubbera region
- Build strong sales relationships with current and future business partners and clients.
- Work to achieve individual and divisional KPIs.
- Participate at grower field days, crop walks and industry events
- Attend sales conferences, crop meetings and supplier training
- Assist with product development and the introduction of new products to the market
- Provide qualified, science-based agronomic recommendations on crop inputs and production
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical and agronomic support to clients
- Conduct in-crop inspections, pest and disease monitoring, and soil/plant sampling
- Interpret soil and tissue test results and make informed crop input recommendations
- Develop season-long crop programs tailored to each client's farming system
- Ensure all recommendations comply with APVMA label directions and resistance management strategies
- Plan, implement and manage replicated field trials across different commodities to support Muir exclusive products
- Collect, analyse and report trial data to internal teams and suppliers
- Support the evaluation and commercialisation of new products.
- Keep detailed records of client recommendations, chemical use, research, trials and results
- Maintain recommendation records as required under Queensland and industry regulations
- Maintain an accurate and current CRM for all client activity
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Build and grow relationships with growers to expand business relationships and market share

- Internal: Communicate and collaborate with the Branch team and Central Support Office (CSO) as required.
- External: Customers (growers and farm managers), suppliers, industry bodies and research organisations
Candidates must have:- Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticultural Science or a closely related discipline (Bachelor degree minimum) or 5 years relevant experience may substitute qualification.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a commercial agronomy, sales agronomy or closely related role
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the agricultural industry and sound agronomic practices. Familiarity with tropical and subtropical cropping systems (horticulture in Queensland) is highly regarded.
- Sales Skills: Proven sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and the ability to understand and meet customer needs.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with growers and work effectively as part of a team.
- Organizational Skills: High level of personal organization, attention to detail, and time management skills to handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency with information technology and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting, analysis, and record-keeping.
- Other: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as required (a company vehicle is provided for work use).
