Stibbards Creek Macadamias is a leading macadamia farming and agricultural services business based in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. SCM develops, owns and manages large-scale macadamia orchards and provides specialised agricultural services to macadamia growers throughout the region.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Mobile Plant Operators with practical macadamia orchard experience to join our growing team in Dungarubba, NSW.
About the Role
The successful applicants will work within commercial macadamia orchards and will be involved in a broad range of orchard operations, including:- Pesticide and herbicide spraying
- Fertigation operations
- Macadamia harvesting
- Operating tractors and mobile plant equipment
- Calibrating and maintaining agricultural equipment
- Operating GPS and precision farming systems
- Orchard mowing and general farm operations
- Basic machinery servicing and maintenance
- Assisting with irrigation and orchard development activities
- Applicants must be able to work safely, efficiently and independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
Skills and Experience Required:
To be considered for the role, applicants should have:- Relevant qualifications and/or 1-4 years relevant employment experience
- Previous experience working in macadamia orchards or similar agricultural environments
- Experience operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant equipment
- Experience with chemical spraying operations and calibration of spray equipment
- Familiarity with fertigation systems and orchard nutrition programs
- Experience using GPS and precision agriculture technology
- A sound understanding of machinery maintenance and daily servicing requirements
- Good communication skills
- A strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
The following will be viewed favourably:- Chemical handling accreditation or spray tickets
- Mechanical or welding skills
- Experience operating macadamia harvesters
- Irrigation installation or maintenance experience
These are full time positions (38 hours per week), immediate starts are available. A remuneration package of $70,000 - $75,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates.
