|
Lower Richmond River Cane Harvesting Co-Operative Ltd is a well-established NSW co-operative providing sugar cane harvesting and agricultural services to its members throughout the Northern Rivers region.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Mobile Plant Operators to join our harvesting team. These roles are based in Northern Rivers Region, New South Wales.
About the Role
The successful applicants will be involved in all aspects of sugar cane harvesting operations, including:- Operating and maintaining sugar cane haul-out equipment
- Operating tractors, trailers and self-propelled power-hauls
- Assisting with daily harvesting operations to meet tonnage targets
- Conducting routine machinery checks and basic maintenance
- Working closely with the harvesting team to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Suitably experienced operators may also receive training to operate sugar cane harvesters.
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for the role, applicants should have:- Relevant qualifications or 1-4 years relevant employment experience
- Experience operating heavy machinery or mobile plant equipment
- Experience with a range of transmission types
- A sound mechanical aptitude
- The ability to maintain and respect machinery and equipment
- A strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication skills and a reasonable grasp of English
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Familiarity with GPS and precision farming systems
The following will be viewed favourably:- Mechanical repair experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Previous agricultural or harvesting experience
These are full time positions (38 hours per week), immediate starts are available. A remuneration package of $70,000 - $75,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates.
