Greenview Farm Pty Ltd are looking for a Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their team in Mataranka, NT.
The Diesel Motor Mechanic will keep Greenview's diesel-powered plant, heavy equipment and vehicle fleet safe, reliable and available through high-quality diagnosis, repair, servicing and preventive maintenance - minimising downtime across the Employer's farming operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnosis, Repair & Overhaul:- Diagnose and repair faults across diesel engines, transmissions, drivelines, brakes, hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Carry out engine overhauls and reconditioning, transmission pull-downs, clutch and differential repairs.
- Repair air brake, suspension and under-chassis components and brake chambers.
Preventive Maintenance & Inspections:- Plan and perform PMS schedules and PDI on plant and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring to prevent breakdowns.
- Use diagnostic tools and software for fault-finding and verification of repairs.
Field Support & Equipment Range:- Respond to field breakdowns and complete on-site repairs.
- Service and repair tractors (Case, New Holland, Versatile, John Deere), trucks, trailers, excavators, graders, loaders, forklifts and other mobile plant.
- Perform fabrication and welding for repairs and modifications.
Records, Parts & Tools:- Complete job cards, work orders and maintenance logs accurately and on time.
- Order parts and manage workshop inventory.
- Maintain and calibrate tools of trade and special tools.
Safety & Compliance:- Comply with WHS legislation, safe work procedures and chemical-handling protocols.
- Maintain all licences and qualifications relevant to the role.
Applicants must hold a relevant Cert III and have at least one years relevant industry experience or at least 3 years experience to substitute formal qualifications.
A salary of $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
