  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join Asset Construction & Maintenance Pty Ltd. The ideal candidate has strong technical drafting expertise, experience in preparing and reviewing construction drawings and plans, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality documentation. This role requires a hands-on approach, effective team collaboration, and a focus on compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and supporting efficient project delivery.

    Your role will include, but is not limited to:
    • Prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, plans, and documentation for light gauge steel and modular construction projects in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
    • Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D drafting models using Revit and Vertex BD software
    • Produce precise drafting documentation, layouts, and illustrations to support construction, fabrication, and installation requirements
    • Apply BIM processes to assist with design coordination, integration, and clash detection across project documentation
    • Review and ensure drawings and technical documentation are accurate, compliant, and suitable for construction and manufacturing purposes
    • Liaise with engineers, consultants, and internal project teams to resolve drafting, design, and detailing issues
    • Update and revise technical drawings and plans based on project changes, client requirements, and consultant feedback
    • Assist in improving drafting, modelling, and documentation procedures to enhance project accuracy and efficiency
    Applicants must have:
    • Relevant trade qualification AQF Diploma with at least one year of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full-time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.  
    • Proven experience in a Building Design Detailer, Draftsperson, or similar role
    • Strong experience in light gauge steel structural detailing
    • Demonstrated experience in modular construction design
    • Advanced Revit skills
    • Solid working knowledge of Vertex BD
    • Experience working in BIM environments
    • Strong understanding of buildability, structural systems, and technical documentation
    • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Structural engineering experience preferred
    A salary of $85,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. Applicants must be based in Darwin, NT, or be willing to relocate.
