  • G&I L.E.C are seeking 2-3 qualified Industrial Electricians to join a growing maintenance team based primarily in a food processing facility in Laverton North, with occasional additional residential and commercial work.

This is a hands-on maintenance role involving breakdowns, fault finding, and preventative maintenance in a live production environment.

    The Role

You'll be responsible for keeping critical production equipment running smoothly through a mix of planned and reactive work, including:
    • Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
    • Breakdown response and fault finding in a live production environment
    • Repairs and general industrial electrical maintenance
    • Work across a primary food processing facility, with occasional additional industrial/commercial/residential work
    • End of shift reporting via email and team communication via WhatsApp
    • Independent evening/afternoon shift work (with team support available when required)
One role is currently: Monday to Friday | 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Weekend work may be required depending on operational needs.

    What's on Offer:
    • $50-$60/hr base + penalties (Afternoon shift $57.50/hr)
    • Overtime paid under Electrical Award
    • Tools and uniforms provided
    • Small team environment (approx. 6 staff total)
    • Genuine opportunity to grow with a fast-expanding operation
    • Exposure to varied industrial work (primarily food processing + additional sites)
    • Onsite parking available
Salary review may be considered after probation.

We are looking for reliable, hands-on Industrial Electricians who can take ownership of their work and operate in a real-world maintenance environment.

    You'll need to demonstrate:
    • A Grade Electrical Licence (Australia)
    • 2-5+ years' industrial electrical experience
    • Strong experience in breakdowns and preventative maintenance
    • Confidence working in industrial environments (food processing experience ideal)
    • Australian Driver's Licence and own transport
    • Full Australian working rights
    • Comfortable working in a food processing environment (can be physically demanding and unclean at times)
    • Strong problem solving skills and be able to work independently on shift
    • Reliability and consistency - we need people who show up and stay
    • Ability to communicate clearly with site teams and stakeholders
A mechanical fitting or welding background, or multi-skilled industrial maintenance experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

This is a small but fast-growing team, where everyone is hands-on and contributes across a variety of work.

You'll be working in a live production environment, where:
    • Breakdowns require quick response and practical thinking
    • Downtime matters
    • Work can be routine at times, but requires consistency and attention
    • Evening shifts often involve monitoring, walk-throughs, and reactive maintenance when required
We are building a stable, long-term team and are focused on finding people who want consistency and long-term opportunity, not short-term turnover.

If you're a qualified Industrial Electrician who wants stable work, strong hourly rates, and a long-term role in a growing maintenance team, we'd like to hear from you.
