  • DRIFTWOOD ENTERPRISES PTY LTD t/a Subway, located at Subway, Shop 2, 430 The Esplanade, Torquay QLD, 4655, is currently seeking an experienced retail manager to join their team full time as Store Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the Subway store, ensuring efficient service, smooth workflow, and full compliance with brand standards.
    • Lead and manage staff, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training, performance evaluation, and ongoing development to maintain a high-performing team.
    • Establish and enforce operational procedures, food safety standards, and workplace health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with franchise and legal requirements.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance and financial data, using insights to improve revenue, control costs, and meet business targets.
    • Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, expense control, cash handling, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
    • Oversee inventory management, including determining product mix, maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring availability of key items.
    • Manage supplier relationships, including ordering stock, ensuring timely deliveries, and negotiating pricing where applicable.
    • Develop and implement pricing, purchasing, and marketing strategies aligned with franchise guidelines to drive sales and competitiveness.
    • Execute marketing and promotional activities, including in-store merchandising and local advertising, to attract new customers and increase repeat business.
    • Deliver excellent customer service, including handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints, assisting with orders, and promoting menu items.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales transactions, and financial activities to ensure compliance and transparency.
    Qualifications/Experience Required:

    Minimum a relevant Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) with one year full time (or part time equivalent) relevant work experience required. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

    • Attention to Detail - Ensuring food quality, hygiene standards, and compliance are consistently met.
    • Sales & Marketing Awareness - Skills to drive sales, upsell products, and support promotions.
    • Knowledge of Food Safety & Compliance - Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
    A salary of $79,550 + super will be offered to the successful candidate.
