HWC Hydraulics & Equipment is a leading provider of hydraulic solutions, fluid power systems, and engineered equipment servicing a wide range of industries. We are seeking the services of a hands-on Engineer with at least 5 years' experience in fixed plant mining hydraulic systems & gearbox lubrication systems. The person needs to be a practical Engineer with the ability to offer the customer a well-engineered and workable solution.
About the Role: Working closely with management, workshop teams, suppliers, and customers, you will be responsible for engineering design, drafting, project support, and technical problem solving across a range of hydraulic systems and equipment. The role is a combination of office, workshop and occasional site visits - it is best suited to someone who has site-based experience with WA based mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Hydraulic system design and engineering support
- Drafting and modelling using SolidWorks - Preparation of manufacturing, technical drawings and schematics/ circuit designs
- Project planning, progress tracking, and documentation
- Liaising with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Assisting with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new builds
- Supporting workshop teams with technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Identifying improvements to systems and processes
- Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures
To be successful in this role you must have:- A Mechanical Engineering Qualification
- 5 year's hydraulic engineering / fluid power industry experience
- Strong drafting experience
- SolidWorks experience is essential
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
