  • Founded in 2017, Axis Mineral Services Pty Ltd ('Axis') specialise in crushing & ore sorting services for all requirements in Mining, Milling, Processing and Civil applications. Axis are currently running crushing circuits, ROM Management and general site works operations across a number of projects in the Goldfields regions, within the Mining and Civil Construction sectors.

    We're currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing day-to-day construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

    Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and internal departments, you will play a critical role in achieving production targets while maintaining strong commercial, operational, and safety outcomes across complex construction environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Delivery & Production Management:
    • Lead and manage the delivery of construction works, ensuring alignment with approved project programmes and milestones.
    • Drive daily and weekly production planning with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve progress targets and KPIs.
    • Anticipate, identify, and resolve production risks, delays, and constraints to maintain programme performance and protect the critical path.
    • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources to maximise productivity and utilisation.
    • Chair daily pre-start and weekly coordination meetings to ensure clear communication and operational alignment.
    • Monitor and report on production performance against project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
    • Escalate project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and supporting documentation for commercial and contractual purposes.
    Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop site-based teams, fostering a high-performance and safety-focused culture.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Planning, Commercial, and HSEQ teams to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Support the Project Manager with progress claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, forecasting, and resource planning.
    Health, Safety, Environment & Quality:
    • Ensure all site activities comply with HSEQ legislation, project management plans, and client requirements.
    • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance.
    To be successful in this role, you will have:
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Construction Project Manager or Senior Site Management role.
    • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, utilities, earthworks, drainage, or civil construction works.
    • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, temporary works, and resource coordination.
    • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
    • Experience using project planning and reporting tools such as CCS Candy, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Excel.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to perform effectively in fast-paced project environments.
    • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
