Rudd's Panel Works are currently seeking experienced applicants to join their Caboolture team full time in the following roles:Applicants must have 2+ years' experience in a similar role and hold a relevant trade qualification.
Duties for Panel Beaters include:- Assessing vehicle body damage and dismantling panels, trims, upholstery, and accessories to access repair areas
- Repairing dents and distortions in body panels using specialised panel-beating techniques and tools
- Aligning and straightening damaged vehicle bodies, chassis components, and panels using hydraulic and mechanical equipment
- Removing severely damaged sections and installing new or quality replacement panels
- Cutting, shaping, and welding replacement sections to restore structural integrity
- Applying body fillers to repaired areas and preparing surfaces through grinding, filing, and sanding
- Reassembling vehicles by refitting repaired or replacement panels, trims, locks, and other body hardware
- Ensuring all repaired components are correctly aligned and finished to manufacturer and industry standards
Duties for Painters include:- Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding panels manually and with power tools
- Identifying and mixing paint colours to achieve an accurate match, or selecting suitable pre-mixed paints
- Applying primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray-painting equipment
- Sanding between coats to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish
- Masking and protecting non-painted areas using tape, paper, and other materials
- Repairing minor paint imperfections and carrying out touch-up work where required
- Waxing and buffing painted surfaces to achieve a professional finish
A salary of $80,000 - $95,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
