Role Overview:
NYC Bagel Deli is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join the vibrant team at the flagship store in West End preparing and baking high-quality bread and bakery products in accordance with company standards, recipes, and hygiene regulations. Candidates must demonstrate baking skill, efficiency in commercial baking setup and passion for quality baking.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, mix, and bake doughs for a wide range of bread products including loaves, rolls, scrolls, and specialty items.
- Operate commercial baking equipment including ovens, mixers, and dough dividers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards and product consistency.
- Follow company recipes, production schedules, and portion guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the baking area and comply with food safety and hygiene practices.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and meet customer demand.
- Participate in inventory control, stock rotation, and ingredient ordering as needed.
- Ensure compliance with WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) standards.
Skills and Experience Required:- At least 2 years of full-time experience as a baker in a commercial bakery, and completion of a relevant Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to bake bread and other baked goods to consistent high standard.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food hygiene, and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A salary of $79,499 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
