BJB Civil Hire is looking for a reliable and experienced Tandem Driver / Truck Operator to join our team.
We're a family-owned business that's growing within the civil construction industry, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, turns up on time, drives safely, and understands how civil sites operate.

What's involved?
You'll be responsible for a range of truck operations, including:- Daily pre-starts and basic maintenance checks
- Safe operation of tandem and tipper trucks
- Loading, hauling and tipping materials
- Working across civil construction and quarry environments
- Following site safety requirements and road regulations
- Building positive relationships with clients and site personnel
- Maintaining a clean and professional driving record
What we're looking for:- HR Licence (Open) minimum (HC highly regarded)
- Road Ranger experience preferred
- White Card
- Clean driving record
- Experience working on civil construction sites
- Understanding of quarry operations
- Good knowledge of Brisbane roads and surrounding areas
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Physically fit and capable of assisting where required
- Dependable and ready to work
- Comfortable working long hours when required
- Contactable and available for next-day work when needed
- A team player who gets along well with clients and coworkers
- Happy to pitch in when things get busy
Please note: Civil construction is weather dependent. During dry periods, there can be long hours and plenty of work available. During wet periods, hours may reduce depending on site conditions.
