    The Role

    We're seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our Positive Behaviour Support Division. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with behaviours of concern and their families, while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.

    You'll be based at our Kalgoorlie office with flexible working arrangements available. However, our face-to-face team environment and collaborative support culture are non-negotiable (we believe in the power of working together).

    Key Responsibilities

    Direct Service Delivery:
    • Develop and deliver high-quality behaviour support, therapy, and consultancy for individuals with behaviours of concern
    • Create, implement, monitor, and review individualised Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
    • Provide timely, efficient, and effective Behaviour Support services across various settings, including Western Australian prisons
    • Assess client needs through comprehensive meetings with service users, guardians, and stakeholders
    • Provide participant support and advocacy as appropriate to assist our participants and families to achieve their NDIS and quality of life goals
    Assessment & Planning:
    • Conduct interviews and gather information for functional behaviour assessments and restrictive practice audits
    • Collaborate with psychologists, peers, and stakeholders to develop and review PBS interventions
    • Drive and support Positive Behaviour Support strategy delivery
    Training & Development:
    • Deliver training using various techniques including modelling, skill development, problem solving, and reflection
    • Provide appropriate resourcing and support to clients and their support networks
    • Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements in all reporting
    What You'll Bring

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:
    • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Disabilities, or Individual Disability Support
    • 2+ years' experience in a similar role working with challenging behaviours
    • Minimum 6 months' experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support services
    • Strong understanding of the NDIS environment and disability sector
    • Comprehensive knowledge of complex person-centered behaviour support delivery
    Required Clearances:
    • Current Working with Children card
    • National Police Clearance (required prior to contract of employment)
    • NDIS worker screening check
    • Valid Driver's licence
    Essential Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with interviewing and information gathering for complex behaviour support plan design
    • Demonstrated experience in training and teaching techniques
    • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
    • Experience supporting development, implementation, monitoring, and review of complex behaviour support plans
