About Us:
NEPALESE NEWA EATERY PTY LTD trading as Kathmandu Newa Chhen is one of the oldest-running Nepalese restaurants in Brisbane, serving authentic Nepalese cuisine and providing exceptional dining experiences to our customers. We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in Paddington, Queensland.
Position Details:- Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
- Location: 72 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington QLD 4064
Key Duties:- Prepare and cook range of menu items in accordance with approved recipes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Examine ingredients and food products to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability for preparation and service.
- Inspect kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Plan and organise daily food preparation activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Monitor food preparation processes and presentation standards to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes.
- Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and stock control.
- Work effectively within a busy kitchen environment.
Requirements:- Relevant qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant cooking experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
