HWC Hydraulics & Equipment is a Western Australian owned company based in Canning Vale, providing hydraulic sales, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and hire solutions across the mining, oil & gas, agricultural and industrial sectors.
Due to an internal transition, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ and HR Co-ordinator to join our team and take ownership of our Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Human Resources and Compliance functions. This role is available immediately, accounting for a 1-2 week handover period.
The hours are 9am - 2pm Monday to Friday.
This is a diverse role supporting both our workshop-based and remote site workforce, while maintaining our ISO-certified management systems and meeting the compliance requirements of major mining and industrial clients.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:- Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001 compliance, audits, policies, procedures, and training records.
- Lead HSEQ activities including incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, inductions, toolbox talks, and compliance monitoring.
- Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, personnel records, performance reviews, and employee relations support.
- Manage apprenticeship and training programs, including liaison with training providers and tracking qualifications, licences, and competency requirements.
- Support client compliance requirements, including prequalifications, contractor systems, tenders, and workforce documentation.
- Assist with mobilisation and ongoing compliance requirements for site-based personnel across multiple projects.
About You
You will have at least 1 year of experience in a HSEQ and HR, along with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting business operations.
You will also demonstrate:- Experience working with compliance systems, documentation and record management.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Experience within mining, engineering, manufacturing, construction or industrial services environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to ISO management systems, contractor management platforms, tender submissions, apprenticeship programs or remote site workforces would be advantageous but is not essential.
