    The position

    You will be working with individual clients, small and medium size companies. We ensure continuous training and guidance from senior accountants to help you develop your skills, knowledge, and growth. We are offering a competitive salary of $80,000 to $85,000 plus super to the right candidate, based on their qualifications, experience, and financial acumen.     Expected Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs for lodgement;
    • Prepare tax assessments, BAS, IAS, FBT returns and related ATO compliance documents for final review;
    • Maintain and review client accounting records, including GL, bank reconciliations, journals, as well as AP and AR entries and records;
    • Complete month-end and year-end accounting tasks, including reconciliations, supporting workpapers and client file maintenance;
    • Review client income, expenditure, cashflow and business performance records and identify accounting or tax compliance issues;
    • Prepare reports, records and information for clients, the ATO, ASIC and other relevant bodies;
    • Liaise with clients, the ATO and other external parties regarding accounting records, tax compliance matters and document requests;
    • Provide accounting support and guidance to clients using Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks;
    • Support senior accountants with business advisory work, including the review of client financial information, cashflow records and business performance reports;
    • Undertake ongoing training and professional development in taxation, accounting standards, accounting software and public practice procedures.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field;
    • At least 2 years' experience in public practice, business advisory, and tax services within Australia.
    • Currently, or eligible and planning to be, enrolled in a CPA program.
    • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs;
    • Preparation of Business Activity Statements;
    • Liaison with the ATO and clients;
    • Providing accounting support and assistance to clients using Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks accounting suites
