Position Overview:
As a Disability Support Worker at LIVABILITY CARE AUSTRALIA PTY LTD, you will provide person-centred care to individuals with disabilities in their home and community settings in Hawker SA 5434 and nearby suburbs. The role focuses on supporting participants' well-being, independence, and development by assisting with daily activities and encouraging social and community participation, while ensuring care is delivered in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner.
Tasks & responsibilities:- Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disability.
- Provide personal care to persons with disability.
- Execute as instructed designated tasks and activities aimed at meeting the clients' personal needs/community support/empowerment, team objectives and/or program goals.
- Fulfil designated duties/tasks as instructed by the employer when requested/required. This includes working across all client groups when and if required.
- Participate in regular team meetings.
- Carry out duties/activities in a cooperative, respectful and flexible manner.
- Adhere to the service/facility communication, reporting and participant/program progress practices and procedures.
- Respond to crisis in accordance with specified guidelines (Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, Incident Reporting) and seek assistance to situations outside of specified guidelines.
- Participate in developing and monitoring individual program plans and be accountable for their outcomes.
- Establish good working relationships and work closely and collaboratively with team members in order to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role. Providing support to colleagues when required.
- Participate in on-the-job training/site induction when required and/or requested by your supervisor.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and performance.
- Establish good working relationships and networks with other community organisations to keep abreast of community activities and initiatives.
- Work under general guidance from the participant and their family seeking support, within clearly defined guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:- Certificate III in Individual Support or higher or one year of relevant experience in lieu of Certificate III.
- One (1) Year of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service
- Experience in supporting children with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other major conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives effectively and execute administrative duties efficiently and effectively in a timely manner.
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment, under direction of Manager and independently as required

Benefits & Remuneration:- Salary commensurate with experience $79,500 to $82,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
