Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Pre-Delivery / Used Car Reconditioning Manager to lead our expanding used vehicle operation in Frankston.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the preparation of both new and used vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are presented to the highest standard and delivered on time. You will coordinate workshop activities, manage vehicle flow, liaise with internal departments and suppliers, and lead a team focused on quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
To be considered for this role, you will have:- Previous experience managing a pre-delivery or used vehicle reconditioning department
- Strong knowledge of vehicle reconditioning processes and workshop operations
- Mechanical background or automotive trade qualifications (highly regarded)
- Roadworthy Inspector's Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet delivery deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- A current and valid Driver's Licence
Your responsibilities will include:- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Pre-Delivery and Used Car Reconditioning departments
- Coordinating vehicle preparation from acquisition through to retail delivery
- Scheduling workshop repairs, detailing and accessory fitting
- Monitoring vehicle quality standards and ensuring timely completion
- Liaising with sales, service, parts and external suppliers
- Managing departmental productivity, workflow and costs
- Leading, mentoring and developing the reconditioning team
- Ensuring compliance with safety, roadworthy and dealership standards
