Salung Thai Café is a full-service restaurant providing cosy dining environment, fresh ingredients and friendly service. We are serving Thai street food with an option of specific diet such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and more.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team. You'll work closely with owner and head chef, managing a small team, lead a passionate FOH team and have the opportunity to make a real impact on your ideas and contribution related to our customers experience, team culture and future direction of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Leading service and daily restaurant operations
- Oversee reservation and seating management to manage table turnover and customer flow.
- Delivering friendly service experiences and maintaining high service standards
- Recruiting, rostering, training, and mentoring front of house staff.
- Managing smooth workflow for both front of house and back of house.
- Driving team performance, culture and accountability
- Work closely with the owner and kitchen, contribute ideas that would be benefit restaurant and customers' demand
- Overseeing purchasing stock to stay within predetermined cost limits.
- Maintaining records of financial transactions and daily sales in all sale channels.
- Ensuring restaurant and staffs compliance with food safety and workplace regulations
We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and sees it as a long-term career. An understanding of Thai cuisine and traditional service culture will be highly regarded, although it's not essential. You'll also have a good understanding of a range of dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, crustacean allergies and other common dietary needs, allowing you to provide excellent service to every guest.
Applicant must have:- Minimum 3 years management experience in hospitality
- Full Australian working rights.
- Strong leadership and people managing skills, with ability to train, motivate and support a diversity team.
- Handling problem with emotional intelligent
- Excellent customer service skills in providing an excellence services, guess engagement and ability to handle peak periods
- Understanding of restaurant operations including rostering, stock control and ordering, food safety and workplace regulations and cash management and banking.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make immediately decisions when need.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using POS systems
- Ability to work a flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
