    About the position:

    The Environmental & Project Compliance Officer will manage our in-house environmental compliance frameworks while providing necessary operational support to our project delivery teams. Key responsibilities including:
    • Prepare, lodge, and manage Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) required for development approvals across Councils
    • Prepare and review environmental compliance reports, Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) assessments where applicable, and other supporting documentation required for project approvals.
    • Coordinate and interpret geotechnical assessments, site classifications, and Acid Sulphate Soil (ASS) management plans. Oversee erosion, sediment, and sand drift controls on active sites
    • Develop, implement, and monitor Site Waste Minimisation Plans in accordance with Western Australian resource recovery and environmental policies.
    • Conduct regular environmental and safety inspections across residential and commercial sites to ensure compliance with dust, noise, vibration, and chemical storage bylaws. Maintain accurate compliance logs for final council sign-offs
    • Assess site conditions and provide recommendations for soil management, land rehabilitation, stormwater management, irrigation, and drainage solutions.
    • Identify and implement sustainability initiatives to minimise environmental impacts and improve resource efficiency during construction.
    • Review survey information, engineering drawings, and environmental documentation to support planning and construction activities.
    • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and regulatory agencies on environmental matters.
    • Assist with project documentation, including material take-offs, environmental compliance records, and variation documentation where environmental considerations are involved.
    • Support Site Supervisors by monitoring environmental aspects of Work Health and Safety (WHS), maintaining environmental incident records, and contributing to environmental site inductions and awareness programs.
    Required:
    • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Engineering, or a highly analytical/scientific discipline.
    • Ideally at least one year of experience in the relevant field.
    • Strong foundational knowledge in soil science, and environmental reporting.
    • Exceptional report-writing and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and translate it into practical site solutions.
    • Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment.
    • Current WA Driver's License and a White Card (Construction Induction).
    Location: HQ: Perth, WA, across different sites

    Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 plus super
