Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team and build on their public practice experience while taking on greater client responsibility and technical development.

About the Role
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work directly with clients across a broad range of industries while developing your technical and advisory capabilities.
You will have ownership of your workflow and be supported by experienced senior staff and Partners as you continue progressing towards a Senior Accountant role.
Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Preparing activity statements (BAS and IAS)
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for self-managed superannuation funds
- Processing and reviewing client accounting data using Xero, MYOB and other cloud-based platforms
- Managing day-to-day communications with clients
- Assisting clients with taxation, accounting and business-related queries
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and outcomes
- Contributing to technical discussions and ongoing professional development
- Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior team members where appropriate
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:- A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Approximately 2-5 years' experience in public practice accounting
- Progress towards, or completion of, a CA or CPA qualification
- Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns across multiple entity types
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good working knowledge of Xero and/or MYOB
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach to client service and problem-solving
- A willingness to learn, develop and contribute positively to the team
